Today Catholic school educators from all over Staten Island gathered together to celebrate Catholic education and honor individuals in our schools who support and nurture our mission through their dedication. St. Joseph Hill Academy Elementary school proudly recognized Ms. Jeanmarie Kraft for her service to our school community. We began the morning with Mass celebrated by Bishop O’Hara who spoke of the history and importance of Catholic schools in the Archdiocese and on Staten Island. He expressed his gratitude for the support of parent, teachers and school leaders who value our Catholic schools. Senator Andrew Lanza and Monsignor Bergin were also honored for their commitment to supporting Catholic Education.
